It’s been a while (not long enough for some) since we’ve done a Really, Really Bad Rebus for the Brain Game, so enjoy this one. It lives up to its name:
Brandon, I was careful to choose an image without a bow & arrow for just that reason. But, yes, I thought that would be the part of the rebus that caused the most trouble.
If you’ve heard the quote before, the “vacuum” part really gives it away. Although there aren’t a whole lot of ways to represent it — maybe a picture of someone being slapped (“whack”), plus a picture of 18th-century philosopher David Hume?
Got it! I think the RRBR’s are clever, no matter what other people say. :-)

I’ve never heard of that quote in my life, so I guess I wouldn’t have gotten it anyway, but I also went the Cupid route.

Got this one – yeah!
Usually I don’t get them, and just enjoy the groan when I check out the answer.
And Sandy, I had no problem with the cherub – I thought the vacuum would be the tricky part (hoover??)

For reasons I do not understand, I was stuck wondering what Mr. Ed had to do with any classic quote except “Hello Wilburrrr.”

“Nautre abhors a vaccuum”? HAHA. I was thinking it was “An angel or a devil”.
“neigh + angel + oar + a + devil”…
