Great list. I, myself, recently composed a list of the worst 5 music videos of all time, and your list makes an interesting comparison to mine.

First of all, I agree with you on Jan Terri. It takes a special talent to make videos this bad. However, I think “Rock and Roll Santa” is much worse than “Losing You”. “Losing You” is boring — I’ll give you that, but I think “Rock and Roll Santa” has an especial social awkwardness about it.

As far as the “Ballad of Bilbo Baggins” is concerned, I don’t think it’s all that terrible. Geeky, yes it is. But I think most people believe it is terrible simply because of who sings it. If this wasn’t a Leonard Nimoy song, we would chalk this up as just another example of terrible fan art.

Finally, there is no disputing “I Wanna Love You Tender” is a terrible music video. The choreography is just hideous. If you examine the video, though, it really is just the choreography and fashion sense that makes it terrible. The singing is fine. I think, compared to “Nowiy God” for instance, it is a work of beautiful artfulness.

Of course, that’s just my two cents.

That’s a duet between solo artists Danny and Armi, actually. As for the quality of the video .. well, I think it was probably the first time anyone in the country had enough budget to actually produce a music video.

David Hasselhoff’s video for Hooked on a Feeling is pretty craptacular. It’s one of those that just make you sit there thinking “wtf?”

I don’t think the Dog Police one is that bad, the song is awful but the video is not that bad for an 80’s video, pretty standard low budget mtv era fodder.
