I read Profiles in Courage this summer and whether JFK wrote it or not, it was excellent and ought to be required reading for our Congressmen and woman. Maybe they’d get a lot more done if they weren’t such slaves to their parties and actually were legislators.

I own the book that Jimmy Carter wrote. I haven’t read it yet, but I’ve heard its pretty good. Quite the big read too!

TR wrote a number of books including the Naval War of 1812 and The Winning of the West series– his books weren’t always good but the reason why he and Henry Cabot Lodge were friends was because they both were writers and without Lodge TR may never have been President.
