in the late 90s i worked for a restuarant in annapolis and him and his wife would come in once a year usually late summer and there was a long standing rumor he is a good tipper so the wait staff always sucked up to the managers for him to be sat in their section. every server i spoke to that served him confirmined that yes good tipper and a nice man (i was a cook so i didnt get to go out to meet him)

I live near the Sajak Pavilion and the Sajaks’ hometown, and I often listen to WNAV, which is owned at least in part by Pat Sajak. Thanks for sharing some info about this philanthropist, who is highly regarded around here!

A follow up on the philanthropy:

His wife, from Annapolis, MD, is a cancer survivor. Hence when Anne Arundel Medical Center got a much needed expansion, Sajak and his wife endowed the Lesly and Pat Sajak Pavilion.

Also, I believe I heard him say in a radio interview that his Hollywood Walk of Fame star has the incorrect image. A gramophone instead of a television.
