Butterflies are some of the only insects that are still adored by even the most squeamish people. The colors and patterns of their wings are so beautiful and there is so much variety within each species. Ezzal has an outstanding collection of 20 fantastic butterfly images showing the flying insects in all colors and all settings. If a picture really is worth a thousand words, then this gallery is easily worth 20,000. If you can’t get enough, be sure to stop by the website’s other galleries, particularly the one showing 21 stunning images of fish.

  1. Does anyone else have a terrible phobia of butterflies…or is that just me???

  2. These are certainly beautiful pictures, but (I know this is mostly a technicality) are some of those pictures of moths rather than butterflies?

I would love to know the names of them as well.

    Thanks for sharing!

  3. Joceeee, you’re not entirely alone. I don’t exactly have a phobia of butterflies, but I don’t like them. Other than the pretty colored wings, they’re just bugs to me, and I hate bugs.

  4. Joceeee—- I with you, I think butterflies are so beautiful but Im so frightened of them!!! Its not there fault though, my real fear is of Moth….god I cant even be in the same room as one. There so furry and they have extenable tonuges….eugh even thinking of them gives me the hebby jebbies!!!
