This is the link to the video my daughter Melissa made when her husband Gray returned in June from a six month deployment on the Enterprise. Their beagle Bella, and lab, Sadie, just freak out. They missed him so much! http://youtu.be/IgcqSu83Llo

My cat is always happy to see me when I have been gone a few days. When I come home from work she may stir from her warm spot and mosey over to her food dish to await her noms, but if I have been gone a couple days or more, she is so glad to see me. She will stand on the back of the sofa and reach for me, wanting me to sit down, where she will climb into my lap and head-butt my hand, wanting me to stroke her. Then for the next few days she will be stuck to my side like white on rice, as if to make up for the time she didn't get to cuddle while I was gone. She is the most affectionate cat I have ever had.

Thank you soooo much. I needed this. I am away from my "little man" (my dog bruiser) and I was so worried he would forget me. Now, I see that he won't. This was the best thing I've have since I deployed 6 months ago. Thank you again!!!

Those videos were amazing! My cat reacts very similarly to the dogs in the clips when I've been a way. She meows, rolls on the floor, and pounces on me. Animals provide their owners with such unconditional love.

I had to watch several times as I am crying and can not see the screen. This is the best. Thank you to our men and women in armed forces.

So sweet, cried a little. I have a small story share.

My roommate has a pug and her brother was the previous owner. He was in the military and served two tours in Iraq and both times he was gone the dog ran away.

After a few months after her brother left for his second tour, the dog got loose and went missing for two weeks. Her brother came back from his second tour and 10 minutes later the dog was scratching at the door. They both believe that both times he went looking for her brother.
