For anyone who knows me, they know that I’ve been a Motown fan for most of my life now, and I’m only 31. My favorite song of all time is Every Little Bit Hurts by Brenda Holloway. This is a great post. :)
One of my earliest music memories was the Supremes Greatest Hits double album. My mom was a bit eclectic in her music choices.. but there was always Motown playing in our house in the 60′s.
Funny thing is that a few days ago, I made a playlist for myself of great songs by the ladies of the 60′s (not just Motown.. there’s some Brits and Phil specter’s songstresses on it too) and as I read this post, my favorite Supremes song started playing… I Hear A Symphony. Thanks for this post and happy birthday Motown!!!

I recognized at least three of these songs from the Sister Act films. Is that bad?
