This is a brillant idea. And it does work, I learned to use relaxation breathing to make myself take a 20 minute power nap in college when I was doing 18 hour days. They worked better than the copious amounts of coffee and cherry Coke I used to guzzle to stay awake.

WE should isntitute these in every workplace.
And if you get a blankie for your nap, and juice and a cookie when you wake up, it would make the nap even BETTER....

Wonderful!

As I went into my late twenties I found it increasingly hard to stay awake after getting home from work- and it's not as if I have a physically demanding job, I sit at a desk all day. As soon as I started giving into the temptation to conk out I found that I could stay awake at night longer and it didn't really make getting up the next morning any more difficult.

It didn't take long for my husband to stop giving me a hard time about it and join me.
