When I was a kid, I longed for a simple treehouse to play in. But the playhouses featured on Web Urbanist put my childhood fantasies to shame. The post has every type of possible playhouse, from realistic, scaled-down houses to cartoon-styled buildings to castles and pirate ships.
Of course, only the wealthiest 1% of America could afford most of these playhouses (some cost over $10,000) and most kids will grow tired of their play areas within a matter of years, but its still fun to dream about being the kid with his own private mansion, isn’t it?
Those are cool. Hopefully they don’t go into playhouse foreclosure!

My childhood tree fort was a platform on a branch with a tire swing underneath.
Good times…

I used to watch \Underdog to Wonderdog\ on Animal Planet before my favorite show, \Animal Cops\, aired and at the end of every show, they would unveil a playhouse for the kids that included something for the dog, too.
Some of them had themes related to the family, like the fire truck playhouse when the dad was a firefighter, and some of them were pretty awesome!
I haven’t been able to find any pictures online, though \-(
