I think it’s because there’s only one solution (utilizing the 9) which can be figured out right away. It cant be 5 x 9 + whatever because that’s already more than 42 (and therefore it’s not 9 x anything larger than 5) and it can’t be 3 x 9 + whatever because there isn’t a large enough digit to add to 27 to get to 42, hence you’re left with 4 x 9 + 6 = 42
That seemed really easy this time around….I liked it, lol. I started with the 28, and guessed that I was going to divide by 2. So then it would have been 7 and 8 in the other squares, and somehow I managed to put them in the correct spots right off the bat. Thanks Sandy!
Not sure why, but I whipped right through this one. The instructions should say that the 9 is provided, not the 2. I like it. Keep them coming.
