For everyone wondering…cognitive dissonance = buyer’s remorse.
Thanks marketing degree! :)

I hate to admit it but at the Calgary Stampede they had deep fried oreo’s this year and they were delicious!!!! I could only finish one, due to it’s incredible sugar content.

@B-Doc
A Monte Cristo Sandwich often refers to an open faced sandwich on french toast with ham, turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato and a grilled peach half on top. I personally have never seen a deep fried Monte Cristo, and I have worked as a waitress for 13 years.
>my two cents for the day!<

@Scott
To respectfully disagree with you, Cognitive Dissonance is not buyers remorse. It’s holding two opposing viewpoints in your own mind. Essentially, what he’s saying (slightly tongue in cheek) is, even though he’d like to eat a “nutritious” deep fried strawberry, he knows that it’s an awful thing to eat, healthwise.
Hope you’re still working on that marketing degree….lol jj.

@Jaime
Your experience has betrayed you with not enough…..experience. Actually you’re both mostly correct. A monte cristo sandwich varies depending on which part of the country you’re in. Mostly, it is deep fried but sometimes you’ll see it pan fried. Technically any fried ham or turkey sandwich is a monte cristo but there are a thousand variations on it from coast to coast.

Dan, that’s what I knew it as, but I’m a she.
When I saw deep-fried strawberries, it reminded me of a post I wrote for another site http://www.yesbutnobutyes.com/archives/2007/04/deepfried_balls.html where I mentioned I was going to clear my head of deep-fried thoughts by eating strawberries.

One of the most “famous” Monte Cristo sandwiches out there is the one served at the Blue Bayou Restaurant (which overlooks the “Pirates of the Carribean” ride at Disneyland.) A deep fried, double deck turkey, ham and cheese sandwich, sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with strawberry jam.
Also, try searching for “SugimotoKousuke” on youtube for the HD version of “tv show.” Totally worth it.
