  1. 9/12

  2. 11/12!

I was only out of the eastern time zone once, but there was a time I was expecting to be in Central and was shocked on my drive when there wasn’t a sign or anything to tell me I was crossing into a new time zone. Then I got to my hotel and found out I was still in the Eastern zone.

Are there signs on the highways to let you know about crossing zones?

  3. I think I recall seeing a sign on I-40 while driving through TN, but most of my travel is done by air or up and down the eastern seaboard, so can’t say about any other highways.

  4. You’re right about that sign, Hyacinth. I’ve seen others as well on Interstate trips; the signs just aren’t very large. It would be easy to mistake them for a bridge-name sign (which is where they often lie anyway).

  5. Who the clocks are doing some weird optical illusion thing where it looks like they’re moving when i’m not looking directly at one of them

  6. First Mental Floss quiz I have ever 100%’d.

    Woot :O
