Walking around that place, you feel like you really are on another planet. Goblin Valley has been in SciFi movies too. My favorite is when Captain Nesmith battles the rock monster in "Galaxy Quest" (the best movie if you like Star Trek or if you like making fun of Trekkies) If you keep going North East from the Valley of Fire a few hundred miles, you will reach Goblin Valley in Southern Utah.
