If you’re feeling confident in your spelling skills & you’re lucky enough to live within driving time of Mitchell, SD, get yourself over to this weekend’s 15th Annual Corn Palace Regional Spelling Bee! The misuse of “lie” and “lay” drives me crazy.

The one that gets me every time is misusing ‘phase’ for ‘faze’.
Grrrrr!

The ones that make me insane are “insure” and “ensure” and also people who say “supposubly” instead of “supposedly.” Oh, also when people say “I could care less.” THINK about what you are saying people! Whenever I’m talking with someone and they use either of these last two, I just shut down and I can’t take them seriously anymore.
I have been to the Corn Palace and it was a big letdown. Supposubly, it was suppobs to be made entirely out of corn, but it’s just a building with a bunch of corn glued to it. And guess what? They sell a bunch of corn-related products inside.
