The same two-letter sequence can be added to the end of each of the following letters to form nine different three-letter English words. Identify the letters. Good luck:
I’m not sure if “git” would be considered a proper English word. According to my sources, it is either (in the US) a regional variant of “get”, or British slang for an undesirable or contemptible person.
Er, what is a “pag?” My dictionary doesn’t recognize it.
Depending on how loose you want to get with slang, -ap can work. “Bap” and “wap” are basically both onomatopoeic words for hitting someone or something. “Fap” is slang for masturbation that has gained significant use in recent years.
It was the first thing that popped in my head, but reading across I was unsure about some. Confirmed by dictionary.com (in CAPS):
bone
FONE – plural of foe
gone
lone
none
PONE – a baked or fried bread
SONE – a unit for measuring the loudness of sound
tone
WONE – To dwell; to abide
-ad

Pag = Pennsylvanian German (Pa G)
Kind of slang, but that’s \ag\ was the first one I thought of. \ee\ was my second choice!

Yeah…I got -ag too.
