New Species of Leopard Identified

Bornean clouded leopard…And it was right under our noses all this time. “For over a hundred years we have been looking at this animal and never realized it was unique,” said Adam Tomasek, head of WWF’s Borneo and Sumatra program. The “Bornean clouded leopard” has a distinct DNA profile from a related mainland species, prompting scientists to declare it a separate species.
