It's not a podcast, but I thought I’d mention MIT's OpenCourseWare site. It's basically free access to MIT course materials for educators or people who want to teach themselves a subject. I’ve used it a few times and it’s pretty cool if you ask me…

Erm, I meant to say I promise I'm not someone employed by - not a double negative, which would imply that I am employed there. Which I'm not (I swear!). I'm just tired!

Some of the speakers featured are Dr. Jerry Falwell, Founder and Chancellor of Liberty University; Dr. R. Philip Roberts, President of MBTS; Dr. Craig A. Evans, Scroll Scholar, N.T.
For anyone who's ever considered taking conversational Japanese, or just wants to brush up on a long-forgotten skill, JapanesePod101 is fantastic - easy, fun, educational. I've been a long time listener since the outset, and you can start with their earliest, most basic lessons or skip ahead (they've got over 150 lessons in categories like Survival Lessons - for someone who needs to learn quick! before they go to Japan, Beginner Lessons, Intermediate Lessons, Culture Lessons, and even occasional videos). I've also heard good things about ChinesePod101, but have never tried it out. Additionally, their website has corresponding text files and other learning materials to help you on your way! As a huge fan (and I promise I'm not someone not employed by anyone affiliated with either of the 'pods') I totally recommend podcast fans to check it out.
