While I guess it’s fascinating that the folks in the cloning business have created a faster, cheaper and slightly more out of control way to clone animals (the newly christened Hand-cloning method simply chops an egg in half according to this New Scientist article?!), I am far more impressed by the fact that the pun-happy scientists named the resulting baby pig George Cloney. While they could have just as easily gone with tributes to news anchor Clone Phillips, songwriter Leonard Clone or, professional wrestler Clone-Cold Steve Austin, I applaud their choice, and look forward to reading more from them in the future.
