The f-word is a tricky one – some movies or books throw it around like it’s no problem, while others shy away from it entirely. In this quiz, you simply have to identify which of two works dropped more f-bombs.

And don’t worry, this quiz is safe for work.

  1. I didn’t do very well, but this was f***ing fun.

  2. I’ve always found it appropriate that the foulest-mouthed character on Deadwood went by the name Swearengen.

  3. Can someone refresh my memory? When was the f-bomb in Beetlejuice? thx

  4. NM – I found it – “Nice f***ing model!”

  5. I remember when the movie “Scarface” came out. It was considered infamous for using the f-bomb more often than any other movie at the time. It had 207, or about once every 45 seconds, which seems kind of pathetic compared to some of these.

  6. I didn’t do well on this, but it was one of the more interesting and entertaining lunchtime quizzes of late. Although to be fair, they’re almost always interesting and entertaining.

Some friends and I rented Deadwood once, and having heard only that it was heavy on the language, decided to play a drinking game which assigned the F word as the trigger.

Naturally, the game was called off about two minutes in.

  7. Bono might have a bit of an ego, but he called “Gangs of New York” F***ing brilliant, not the band itself.

  8. I am very surprised by the last one.

  9. I’ve always thought that the scene in “Major League” where Charlie Sheen gets in a locker room fight with Corbin Bernson has, if not the MOST F-bombs, the most IN SUCCESSION.
