   I had one of the same issues. I got the same one as you and then a second. I got stuck looking for famous explorers. Grrrr.

3. I got Desoto and my mind was stuck on explorers. I couldn’t get another one and gave up.

5. I got the 3rd one first and then the 7th. From there it was pretty easy once I realized there some of the answers were fairly recent.

   What a shame.

7. I got Hudson (out of luck), plymouth, packard an oldsmobile (I cheated– I was so stuck i jumped ahead and looked just at the common theme).
   I couldn’t get any of the others.
   And no wonder–the only other one I’d heard of was steudebaker.

8. i got studebaker first (and was certain i knew the theme) and then desoto. duesenberg confirmed it and then i clicked through, depriving myself the chance to puzzle out the remaining answers.
