On October 28, Eliphalet Remington (1793), Bill Gates (1955), and me (1987) were born.

Columbus landed in Cuba in 1492, and the Statue of Liberty was dedicated in 1886 (and rededicated in 1936), all on October 28.

I found several things of interest that ended on my birthday, as well, including the Cuban Missile Crisis and the lives of Maxentius (312) and John Locke (1704).

Now I suppose we should consider how to define “greatest person.”
