How To Tie Stuff Up

Picture 4.jpgMy Cub Scout career was less than illustrious. A poor showing in the Pinewood Derby sunk my hopes of making Webelos (I have no idea whether that was the actual progression. Feel free to correct me.) So far, I’ve been lucky. I’ve gone 27 years without needing to fasten a good knot. But you never know what’s waiting around the corner, fit to be tied.

Study along with me, courtesy of Mother Earth News: How to Tie the 10 Most Useful Knots.

[For the record, I do know How to Tie a Tie.]

  1. As an assistant Webelos leader, I can say that you would have gone from Cub Scouts into a Webelos den.
(As far as I know, one’s Pinewood Derby performance has nothing to do with progression. It’s based on age or school year … depending on if you’re in a Church-sponsored troop or not, respectively.) ^_^

  2. I really love your site! I don’t always get to it daily, but when I do you guys write personably and have cool links that I probably would never find on my own. Thanks for the awesome job! Please pass this on to your fellow writers!
