  1. All politics is local?

I might not be very knowledgeable about politics, but I know a thing or two about grammar. :)

  2. Grammar, maybe. But you’re not so hot with famous Tip O’Neill sayings.

  3. “politics”: (noun plural but singular or plural in construction)

A noun that is singular in construction takes a singular verb when it is used as a subject.

  4. This is my first time here, so I’m pretty clueless here, but that image sho looks like the clip of DC Mayor Marion Berry getting his crack on.

  5. My favorite political quote (I don’t know who said it originally) is along the lines of “Politics is derived from two words: poly, which means many, and ticks, which are blood sucking parasites.

  6. Good eyes, ChadJ!

  7. He must be right about politics being local. I remember reading some of those stories in the newspapers, but years later the locations are fuzzy, since they are not MY location.

  8. “My favorite political quote (I don’t know who said it originally) is along the lines of “Politics is derived from two words: poly, which means many, and ticks, which are blood sucking parasites.”
    That’s from Dave Barry.

  9. Thanks, Jennifer!
