You can take ‘Lord of the Rings’ tours in both England (where Tolkien lived) and New Zealand (where the the movies were filmed).

Some travel agencies will even arrange for participants to be in costume for the entire tour which can last for weeks.

Surely you jest. (Yes, I know. You’re serious, and quit calling you Shirley.) You can’t possibly be unaware of the many Star Trek conventions that have happened over the past 40 or so years. Several other shows have inspired similar get-togethers; they tend to be either cult favorites or shows with large fan followings. There are currently Stargate-themed conventions in Vancouver; I believe there have been others for shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dark Shadows.

Or am I missing the boat here, since you speak of this and an Office convention as two separate things?

Sounds interesting, however I would have to cancel my dental appointment, as well as the appointment for the upper and lower endoscopy. In reality, isn’t this one of those “politically correct” get togethers?
