By changing one letter with each subsequent entry, and leaving the other three letters in their original spots, come up with four-letter names that complete the monikers of ten famous people. The bookends are actors – you’ll begin with James COCO and end with PERI Gilpin. In between, you’ll find singers, film characters, sports stars, and even a famous mathematician. Note that the names may be of people real or fictional, and alive or dead. Good luck!

Excellent puzzle. And bonus points for using Remo Williams! (I loved the recent episode of In Plain Sight featuring Fred Ward.)

Autry or Rayburn?

Thanks, Lugh. And Mark? You caught me; I changed the name-clue before posting, and failed to change it in the answers. All fixed!

Oh! I didn’t even think of the real answer to number 8; I had standup comedian Richard Jeni instead. If his name started with G he’d fit in there perfectly. So never mind my first comment.

No idea who Remo Willams is, but I skipped him (her?) and was able to continue on no problem!
Good one!

No idea who Remo Williams is? Emporer Smith will not be pleased.

Thanks for clearing that up, Matthew. I thought you meant the “j” sound (in reference to… well, you know).
I kept trying to fit the name Gino into the puzzle, and since then, I’ve had this incredible craving for a deep-dish pizza from Gino’s East in Chicago. (If you’ve never had it, pencil it in the next time you’re in the Windy City.) It’s been probably 15 years since I last had one, and that’s FAR too long. A friend who once lived in Chicago visited today, and that’s just making the craving stronger.

i also have never heard of Remo Williams. I knew I had to get from ROMO to RENO, so I kept trying to figure out who RONO Williams was. :)

I’m with NukeGuy. Luckily Google’s autocomplete helped me out. =)
These are always my favorite puzzles on here. How fun.

Oh my God, Geno’s East…I haven’t had it since the 90′s, but I never miss an opportunity to tell people how good it is!

You don’t know who Remo Williams is? It must be a terrible plot by Nuihc!
