I had somewhere in the neighborhood of 12,000 hot wheels, When my house burned down at 19 years old. My favorites were the First “Splitting Image” and the “Twin Mill”. I only had one totally new car that i liked, i believe it was called the Pipe Cutter.

I had a redline Camaro, it was something between ’67 – ’69 and was red in color.

I still have and always loved the blue ’75 Firebird from Matchbox, and I don’t know why but a Pizza Van was always a favorite as well (it was a VW Bus).

I had some pretty old ones in my collection when I was a kid, but I’m not sure if they’re still in the collection I passed on to my kids. I obviously need to go take a look! :)

The grammar comments on here are ridiculous…. Love it. I received a doozy of a letter from my homeowners association today, citing for me petty “sins,” and full of grammatical errors. I refuse to cooperate until they get an editor.

LOVED the Hot Wheels cars as a kid! My sister and I used to play with Dad’s old cars. He was so thrilled that he helped us start our own collection. Some of those race tracks being made today are pretty out there!

Just about everything I ever had as a kid â€” baseball cards, Hot Wheels, Schwinn “Sting-Ray” bikes, Tonka trucks, Little Golden Books, the list is endless â€” is now worth some serious money. Trouble is, I’d have needed a building the size of McCormick Place in Chicago to have kept all of it.
