  1. Fairy Tale Nerd Corrections:

    1) actually Aesop’s stories are known as “fables,” not “fairy tales.”

    2) the earliest most famous Cinderella was written by Charles Perrault. Though that story literally exists in nearly all cultures on the globe.

    Fun though! :)

I guess reading The Sisters Grimm series by Michael Buckley paid off. And I actually learned something watching Fractured Fairy Tales and Aesop & Son cartoons on the Rocky & Bullwinkle show when I was a kid in the 60′s.

  4. Re: #12, Aesop plagiarized Jesus (Matthew 7:15).

  6. b-doc,
given that aesop died 500 years before jesus was born, perhaps the plagerism was the other way around…

  7. 60% (9 out of 15). I’m not that in to fairy tales at 27.

  8. 100%
Aesop’s easily digestible, sound bite morals are pretty easy to recognize.

The Brothers Grimm tales are generally pretty dark and involve a forest (thank you, Sondheim) and a witch/evil step mother.

That leaves Mr. Anderson and generally feel good tales that are very My Little Pony-ish.
