Al Gore’s Office?

While I find the former VP charming enough, and I sort of had the impression he was a hard worker, I had no idea his office looked like this (at least, according to the internet). There are a lot more papers and books *and monitors?* than I would have expected. Anyway, if you have revealing photos of what any other celebs’ or politicians’ deskspaces look like, send ‘em in to tips@mentalfloss.com and we’ll post them later today or tomorrow. I’m super-curious to see how the other half works. Photo via ETTF.

  1. Three monitor, a large screen LCD, a printer, a fax/copier, and (presumably) a PC somewhere in that mess….

And I’m suppose to take environmental advice from this guy?

    Doctor, heal thyself…

  2. As a budding personal organizer, I would love to get my hands on that office!

  3. It’s either that or hire an intern.

  4. he apparently has a 100% carbon neutral compound (office/home) in tennessee… all of those monitors are powered by carbon offsets. :)

  5. Look at all that paper!

Think of the trees! Won’t somebody think of the trees!

  6. Look at all that paper!

Think of the trees! Won’t somebody think of the trees!

  7. I love the space set aside for the frog.

  8. All that paper represents carbon dioxide that will not be returning to the atmosphere. In that respect, he is helping to alleviate some of the burden of greenhouse gas.

  9. Daniel- trees give off carbon dioxide? Is that a side effect of the “global warming” now?

  10. That’s pathetic, in a funny sort of way. A mess like that explains a lot with regard to that mess of a mocumentary he made.

But it does make me feel a bit better about my office.

  11. Makes me feel better about my piles, too! But boy, I hope I don’t devolve into that, save for 3 monitors with which to rule the world when we collapse into dictatorship.

  12. He’s a joke. A plain, transparent, uninteresting joke.
