  1. Well, that’s depressing for me. Now excuse me as I try to get through my day without crying.

  2. What happened to the new young man who was supposed to be doing Number of the Day?

  3. We’ve got Will working on some very important things this week, including an article I’m predicting gets 75 comments (no pressure though). But he’ll be back in the Numbers game tomorrow and Friday.

  4. A quarter of a million dollars an episode—that’s obscene!!

  5. You think that’s obscene? Imagine what Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer must be making.

  6. Yeah, but at least Sheen and Cryer are experienced professionals. Jones is just a kid, yet he makes more money in a year than all of my county’s drama teachers combined.

One of these days this country will see that its priorities are in the wrong place. I just hope it’s not too late.

  7. While it kills me that it would take me five years to make what the kid gets for one episode, the show makes an outstanding amount of money. To whom should that money be paid if not to the actors, even the pint-sized ones?

  8. Hi Katie – I’m still here!

And Jason, I’m glad to see you’re getting everyone’s hopes up…

  9. I always thought Charlie Sheen was the half-man.

  10. Let’s hope is parents aren’t blowing it all.

  11. There are laws now that protect child actors’ income from stupid/greedy parents.

I’m a big fan of the show but I thought Jones was a much better actor when he was younger. Now it seems like he’s just phoning it in. To hear he’s getting a quarter of a mil per ep is depressing only because it doesn’t seem to me like he’s earning it. Sheen and Cryer are earning their $$$. That show is making the network and the studio a ton of money, so yeah, they should be spreading the wealth.

And my God I love Berta!

  12. BERTA ROCKS! I hope she’s raking in a good paycheck. Hopefully more than the kid.

  13. The show is nothing without Berta!

  14. The question I’m asking is, “why is this show still on?”

Though I’d also like to ask, “Can he really be called ‘half’ a man now?”

  15. There are laws that protect kids but isn’t it only 10% the parents have to set aside for them? Maybe I’m just making that up.

Either way, that kid MAKES that show! Him and Berta should have a spinoff, lol :)

  16. 15%. It’s in the article. They can’t touch it til they’re 18.

  17. 21!
