The best TV lawmen – be they policemen, detectives, attorneys, or experts – are powerful enough to be known by their last names. Depicted above are Cannon, Ironside, and Banacek, each of which sound much more menacing than they would have if they’d been known by their first names. In today’s Lunchtime Quiz, you’ll be given a list of 14 law-related TV shows titled after the lead character’s surname, and you’ll match them up with the correct first names. (We’ve added each actor’s full name as well to help you along.) Good luck!

12/14 – but I would only have gotten three if the actors’ names weren’t provided.

12/14–knew most without looking at the actor!

I got 12/14, but what about (Jim) Rockford (James Garner) and Barnaby Jones (Buddy Ebsen)? I could probably think of a couple more if you give me a while.

Dave, the difference is we focused on shows that were named solely after the character’s last name – like “Ironside” and “Baretta.” “The Rockford Files” and “Barnaby Jones” wouldn’t qualify.

100%. This was too easy. You should’ve left off the actors’ names. Unfortunately, none of these were before my time-LOL!

Ouch, only 71% LOL. Providing the actors names was a great help though or I would have done much worse.
