Computer Trap Shoot
by Miss Cellania - July 2, 2007 - 9:59 AM

If you’ve ever felt that shooting your computer would be the only way to totally vent your frustrations, be assured that you aren’t the first to feel that way. This time last year, I had an old nonfunctioning iMac sitting around, completely beyond repair. My brother told me I could donate it to the Computer Trap Shoot, held annually on July 4th. This was the first time they had an opportunity to shoot a Mac, so the event was filmed in all its glory. The resulting video shows how we celebrate holidays in Kentucky, with plenty of guns and explosions!

  1. Looks like great fun! The old iMac held up to the armed onslaught surprisingly well.

This would make a good ad for a forensic data retrieval company.

Have a happy 4th, and stay safe.

  2. Did you notice the part where he says you have to keep the blast underneath the computer? He does that with books. Big heavy books, possibly encyclopedias. Yep, it’s Kentucky all right.

  3. Quit hating on Kentucky. Let’s face it, how often do you use a book form encyclopedia these days…. yeah i thought not… Wiki-holic…

  4. Oh, so this is why the Second Amendment is so important!

(Just kidding–I’m from Texas, and frankly, I’m surprised I hadn’t seen an event like this one in the Lone Star State before…)
