Can you spot the endangered animals from the deliciously huntable ones? Click here to take Jason Plautz’s newest quiz. (oh, and be sure to let us know how you did below!)
Well, 50%. I could swear that the Grey Wolf had recently been removed from the list. I didn’t even think to mark any as extinct. Don’t plan on hunting any time soon, though.
Only missed 3 and if had thought one through it would have just been two. You missed one of the more infamous critters – the snail darter from the Telico dam fame. And the spotted owl, where was he in all of this?
Getting them right is one thing but how many have you seen in the wild? I saw Califonia Condors at the Grand Canyon – their incredible (and ugly). I even saw the first wild born condor in decades. I’ve seen Grizzley at Yellowstone. I’ve seen Bald eagles several times, bison (eaten that one)too. I’ve seen American crocidile and alligator (eaten that one too!). Kind of like that joke about the guy arrested for eating bald eagles. The judge asks him what they tasted like and he said California condors.
86% – big giveaways were the ones without photos – just drawings. Extinct, anyone?
Missed the wolf and the seal – I shouldn’t have unsubscribed from all those “HELP ENDANGERED GREY WOLVES NOW YOU HEARTLESS PIECE OF CRAP!” mailing lists…
Missed one (93%) but I’m glad the grizzlies are doing well. The drawings of the “puerto rican shrew” and “vegas frog” definitely gave away their status :)
Anita: A bison burger is a tasty sandwich, and readily available here in the upper midwest. Try Al’s Oasis on I-90 (near Chamberlain) if you’re ever passing through South Dakota!
I did so well it wouldn’t display the score!
Maybe not so much. It did, however, say “Invalid quiz or category ID passed.”
Is it me?

93%. Mostly lucky guesses and remembering a few things I’d heard recently on NPR. I missed the Caribbean Monk Seal.

43% – I better not go hunting until I’ve brushed up on the list.

9 out of 14 :(
The ones that were just drawings were easy.

Guess I won’t be having that bison burger after all.

12 out of 14 didn’t do as well as I thought I would.

I’m with you Veronica. Maybe I shouldn’t have deleted that last cry for e-help.
Oh the poor deleted seals…

43% – Like I thought the Grey Wolf had recently been taken off the list. Anyone know the scoop on this? Now I’m curious
