For far too long, people have been forced to watch chickens parade about naked. Thankfully, artist Edgar Honetschlager has taken the situation into his own hands. After dreaming of a world where chickens were given their dignity back, the Austrian artist got the backing of several Japanese investors and set out to cloak our feathered brethren in the most fashionable ways he could think of.
The Honetschlager collection ranges from jump suits to knitted wear, and apparently prices are available upon request through his delightful website located here. Link via ettf.
Kinda makes me wish I had a chicken.

All the chickens look like they are holding their wings on their hips. Sassy.

I can barely tolerate little dogs in “outfits”. I will not tolerate my dinner dressing up, unless it’s in barbeque sauce. On the topic of birds wearing sweaters, I read a news story about some ladies who knitted sweaters for penguins after an oil spill caused them to lose the insulation in their feathers. (the soaps used to remove the crude oil also removed the naturally insulating penguin oil)

Is that a chicken suit you have on, or you just glad to see me?

I just hope there’s a little hole in the back. Chickens poop a lot.

Watch out for the camaflage chicken. He looks so ever vigilant, so military! I wonder what a real uniform would look like on him….
Question: I have been attacked by cows and pigs, why not chickens?
Answer: BECAUSE THEY ARE CHICKEN!

How hard is it to dress a chicken anyway? They aren’t even that easy to catch.
