Wow, I would have laughed out loud if it hadn’t been so freakin’ sad…and if you follow the link, the other comics are equally bizarre. I especially liked “Spiderman has a Secret” and the Planned Parenthood pamphlet.

My dad and uncle have a ton of old political stuff like this. One of my favorites is a short book (or fat pamphlet?) describing in detail the way the USA would crumble if we were to elect a Catholic president (i.e. JFK).

Wow, this is a great (as in valuable, not as in I agree with the man’s views) bit of historical ephemera! Stuff like this that conveys 1st hand contemporary opinion but isn’t meant to be saved forever gets scarce fast, especially when those opinions later get very unpopular.

Okay, I actually read this and I can see how it worked and he was elected. It’s scary how well propaganda works.
