Tea for Two
by Mangesh Hattikudur - August 23, 2007 - 10:26 AM

teacupducks.jpgThe Daily Mail has this great photo of two little orphaned ducklings being nursed back to health. According to the article, the pair had been washed out to sea during a storm, and were being tossed about when a canoeist plucked them out of the water and “saved [them] from a watery grave.” I had no idea ducks even came in this size (they’re barely a few centimeters tall), but I’ve decided they’d go great with my tea cup collection. Or in it. In any case, you can see more here at the Daily Mail. Link via TheCellar.

  1. That may be the cutest thing ever!

  2. It’s probably a soup mug. I’ve got some in the same design. They hold almost a litre, so the ducklings aren’t quite as small as you might think. Still mighty cute, though.

  3. My best friend moved to the ‘way out outer suburbs a while ago. There was a low part of land in their back yard that always filled with water whenever it rained. After she saw ducks swimming there a few times, she had her husband build a big wooden nesting box for them. Sure enough, the ducks took to it and started a family. The photos she sent of the tiny babies right after they were hatched (and as they grew) were just about the cutest things I’ve ever seen. And I’m one that goes gaga over puppies and kittens. And watching the babies obedinetly follow mommy in a straight line to the water makes me think that humans could learn a lessor or two when it comes to raising kids. ;>
