Despite what the IMDB will have you believe, no one’s made more guest appearances in pop culture than the devil. From movies, to books, to songs, to TV shows, the guy’s everywhere. Can you match the 12 descriptions of Satan to the roles he was born to play? Click here to take the newest quiz from Jason Plautz (and be sure to post your answers below!).

  1. Wow! The quiz was wild. Guess I know more about the Devil than I thought…ended up with an 83%. Who would have know that the Devil was a poodle…well, I guess that makes sense. (Meow)

  2. 75%! I’m a real good guesser, I suppose.

  3. 10 of 12. Not bad considering that I was guessing on a lot of them. Conspicuously absent (well, at least for me) was the devil’s appearance in a classic Frank Zappa song about a biker, a babe, and beer.

  4. This made my day. I got 100%!!! And only a couple were guesses. What fun!

  5. 83%, 10 out of 12. I did guess on a few, but I think I know a little too much about the devil.

  6. I saw the devil last night on a DVD of the 1980s Twilight Zone. He was played by the same guy who played Nick on Cheers.
There’s another one in which he’s played by the same guy who played the black detective on Barney Miller.
    Both made very good satans.

  7. Running with the Devil
    Score: 83% (10 out of 12)

83 seems like the average. Will they grade on a curve? :-)

  8. 12 out of 12.

    Should I be worried?

I guessed on about half of them, and I’ve always been suspicious of poodles.

  9. 83% (10 out of 12.) Accidentally flipped Faust / The Brothers Karamazov.
