Wow, i’m really surprised Menomena’s “Friend and Foe” isn’t anywhere on this list, the cover art actually changes depending on how you have the cd put in it’s case, it’s quite amazing. I’m also suprised nevermind wasn’t here or possibly pinkerton by weezer

What about the Battersea Power Station with the flying pig between the smokestacks from the Pink Floyd “Animals” album??!! It doesn’t get any more classic than that!!

This is such a boring, trite list. Yawn, the usual suspects, etc. What about Wire’s Pink Flag? Secondhand Daylight by Magazine? Duran Duran’s Rio? A Broken Frame by Depeche Mode? Heck, there are a ton of post-punk and New Wave artists who came out with these brilliant cover designs by such designers as Brian Griffin, Martyn Atkins, and Malcolm Garrett/Assorted Images, who completely blew the old hoary rock & roll stereotypes apart with their innovative designs. (Not neglecting Wire here — they were former art students who did everything in-house!)

Oh, BTW, the Blind Faith cover is well known and recognized for being one of the creepiest covers ever. The girl is a freakin’ preteen, and the airplane toy she’s holding? Blatantly phallic. So typical of the misogynistic rock & roll old guard. Thank God that when Bow Wow Wow featured a young girl nude on the cover of its debut album, they didn’t mean for it to be salacious but for it to refer to the masterpiece The Luncheon on the Grass, and Anabella Lwin retains more of her dignity on the cover than Blind Faith’s anonymous nymphette.

I am a fan of simplicity. Covers that have too much going on are busy and annoying in my opinion. I prefer covers that are mostly one color but with subtle use of a picture or logo. Metallica’s black albmum and Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” are nice and simple, but memorable.

a bunch of friends and I were yakking about bands and albums and happened to recall an album with big ear cut outs, and the instructions were to cut out the ears and staple to the sides of your head. for the love of all we could not remember the name of the band or the name of the album. does someone out there remember the band and the album?

I’m looking for a band’s name. I only know their is a woman on the inside CD cover standing in front of a mirrior in a dress,but she’s naked on her back side.This is a rock band.Can anybody out there help figure out this band? your cooperation in this matter willbe greatly appreciated. Thank you!
