I’d like to see the list of famous people from 1935 to the present that went on a uneventful and thoughly enjoyable motorcycle ride and didnt have any kind of incident.

I bet its a lot longer.

Leo Loudenslager, while not a household name, was one of the most accomplished aerobatic pilot in the United States. The guy got his start in my home state of New Jersey and died only after moving to Tennessee. Now that I live here too, I can see why.

In fact, Richard Farina was the passenger on the motorcyle ride that caused his death. While going way too fast he flew off the back…. he was on the way to a bookstore party celebrating the release of his book.

I am pretty sure Anthony Kiedis mentions a motorcycle accident in Scar Tissue. I think it broke a few ribs [and was like in 97-98]

The Dylan “accident” may have been faked, and if so was likely “inspired” by the true death of his friend Richard Farina (Mimi Baez husband, Joan’s brother in law), who killed himself on a motorcyle – riding alone on his way home, following a lunch at a restaurant in ca with the Baez sisters at around that time (1965 ? 66 ?)
