		<description>The BMI always makes me laugh.  As a broad generalization for the human population it is pretty acurate.  However, it doesn&#039;t take into account people with different body types.  My BMI is 30 (5&#039;11&quot; 225lbs) but nobody would characterize me as obese.  I&#039;m stocky and a little overweight, but I have very broad shoulders and am pretty muscular.

When you devise a calculation to make broad generalizations about the population, you get broad generalizations.  The problem is when BMI is used on an individual basis.  Usually to sell diet products.</description>
