Merriweather Lewis. Classic depressive, wrote in his diary on his 31st birthday, "I have accomplished nothing." He had, in fact, led his expedition into the wilds of North America without loss of life (other than one sailor who died of appendicitis - incurable and inoperable at the time), educated himself as a physician and navigator, and become (earlier) the student and confidant of Thomas Jefferson.

When he killed himself at an inn in the Cumberland Gap on his way to Washington DC he was careful to use 2 firearms - one to the chest, one to the head, which he disharged simultanesouly. He was always a very thorough man.

Your project sounds very suspiciously close to the project I had to do at the end of my 11th grade AP english class. I forget who I was, but I do remember my friend Steve (tall, skinny white guy), who decided to be Maya Angelou - during his presentation he turned off the lights in the room and talked in a deep woman's voice.
