On Tuesday we looked at Jessica Hagy’s Indexed — a blog in which diagrams are a source of humor. Today we turn to Le Grand Content, a short film inspired by Hagy’s work — using a series of diagrams and slightly rambling narration to comedic (and poignant) effect. Filmmakers Clemens Kogler and Karo Szmit explain:
Le Grand Content examines the omnipresent Powerpoint-culture in search for its philosophical potential. Intersections and diagrams are assembled to form a grand ‘association-chain-massacre’. which challenges itself to answer all questions of the universe and some more. Of course, it totally fails this assignment, but in its failure it still manages to produce some magical nuance and shades between the great topics death, cable tv, emotions and hamsters.
Now, just enjoy:
woooah …
My first thought was, “that’s deep!”
My second thought is, “there’s a party game in here somewhere.”
