Mangesh is out of the office today. He and mental_floss co-founder Will are headed west to Mountain View, California, where tomorrow they’re giving a speech at the Googleplex. But we’ve got shirts to unload, which means the Ridiculous Board Games must go on.
Before he left, Mangesh selected an author and depicted this person on the whiteboard. If you’ve missed the previous three installments, here’s how this works:
1) This is a complete game of chance, the equivalent of saying “We chose a number between 1 and 1,000,000. Guess.” But simply drawing a number would be an insult to Mangesh and his artistic integrity. Today, you’re guessing an author. Any author.
2) You may guess four times, but all four guesses must be in separate comments.
3) Along with one of your guesses, tell us which t-shirt you’d like if you win (look below or browse our store).
4) Comments don’t appear on the site until we moderate them. But we’ll be able to tell who was the first successful guesser.
If nobody’s guessed correctly by tonight, I’ll give a few hints. Best of luck.

Update: We have a winner! (Two, actually.)
