I noticed that the photo credits for the story of laser surgery was credited to Shane Hutson. As I began to consider it, I realized why that name sounded so familiar.
He was at Duke University the same time I was and he collaborated with the P.I. for whom I worked.
The photos looked remarkable like D. melanogaster embryos that are used in these experiments to determine myosin recruitment to lesions caused by laser ‘cuts’ during dorsal closure. I think that’s why I recognized them.
There are some really neat videos of this stuff on the web.

Do people usually hang out in cemetaries with cameras and just “happen” to catch these ghost images?
