It's a good thing that I have enough episodes of Desparate Housewives on the DVR to get me through.

As far as the strike, everyone at some point in time, overestimates their own importance in the overall scheme of things.

I guess this means the Evening News shows will go to reruns too!

TV is crap; who cares? It's only gonna get crappier now that producers will be forced to rely even more heavily upon "reality" tv. Good bye America. Anyone else seen Idiocracy?

The way this stupid strike is getting press, you would think that it was something really significant. So what if "The Cavemen" or "Two and a Half Men" go on hiatus? It not like "Arrested Development" is on anymore...

Read a book people or do something with your kids. The majority of US television is crap anyhow.

I say fire them all and start over. If the writers don't like the going rate (and provisions for residuals, &c.) in the US, move to Britain, Canada, Australia, or wherever. Learn a new language and move there to write. Or write stuff direct to the Web! Sell advertising on your own site... who needs networks? Having writers in a union is a pretty stupid thing in the first place. Let them negotiate their own contracts on a pay-per-performance basis and let the good ones get paid what the market will bear. Let the talented survive and the rest can run the fry station.

If it's a writers strike I'd love to see a picket line with everyone holding blank picket signs.
