  1. This was a good idea: recapping the past several weeks’ worth of paintings and information. I realized I’d missed one or two. I look forward to next Tuesday’s post but hope you’ll recap every now and then like this.

  2. Andrea – Can you write a post on one of El Greco’s paintings? I’ve always thought his style was unique and instantly recognizable, and I’d love to know more about him.

  3. Andrea, I’d like to know more about Maxfield Parrish or Boughereau. Thanks for the knowledge!

  4. popular emblems and how they related to 17th cen dutch works are always amusing. . . those paintings are a lot more salacious than they seem! sepecifically Jan Steen’s oyster paitings. . .

  5. I’ll look into El Greco, Maxfield Parrish, Boughereau, and Jan Steen’s oyster paintings. Thanks for the suggestions!

  6. Expand the realm of art to include sculpture and give us more details about Michelanglo’s Pieta, an achingly serene piece.

  7. I’d like to see more art from the 20th and 21st centuries. Maybe some Jasper Johns or Robert Motherwell?

  8. How about an abstract? Wassily Kandinsky is a favorite artist of mine. I’d love to understand what (if anything, I suppose) is behind them.

  9. Thanks for all the suggestions! I’ll research them all and see if we can use any of them.
