(rather disgusting if I do say so myself) They will also basically blow their noses without tissues. Onto the street, while riding a bicycle. Without checking blind spots. I have come to recognize and avoid at all costs the "pre-spit" sound. There's a lot of things that I accept and acknowledge about China that are, basically, cultural differences. (strangers coming up to you and asking how much you make, or how much you weigh... Then telling you it's too much, for either question.) I mean really, it's a different culture. But, the spitting thing is really disgusting and I wish they'd stop. I don't think it will happen any time soon, but I can always hope!
