If the second person (and first to post a complete guess) got it, I think it may have been too easy.

It wasn’t that easy. I think the reason there were so few posts was that the answers were unambiguously correct. Once a set of answers was posted, anybody else who checked before posting could see that the problem was done, with no room for ambiguity. But it took about as much time to solve as any of these.
