chasingelroy: have you ever evn heard Chavez speak? or read about the things he has done or plans to do in Venezuela? Here are some of the choicest tidbits:

- He led a military coup d´etat against a former government and was imprisoned. He was then inexplicably pardoned.

- He has stated publicly that “poor people have a right to steal because it is not their fault that they were born with nothing and so they are morally right in taking from those who have more than they do.”

- He plans to eliminate private property, take custody of children away from parents and give it to the State and have mandatory military service all people over 17 (where you can serve in “brother” nations like Afghanistan, Iraq, Cuba, Boliva, etc.) against impirialist powers (read USA).

Please enlighten me… How is this a utopian state?

If more people thought like Hugo Chavez, we’d have a Ceausescu, Franco, Fidel, or Kim Jong-il in every country. At least we will be rid of Bush in 2009. Those other countries are not so lucky.

Oh the injustices indeed… If only more people thought like Hugo Chavez we may live in a state where attempting to kill someone with different political viewpoints would become obsolete.

Oh the injustices of fate! If only Fidel had downed that shake then we probably would not have a gorilla for president in Venezuela.

Oh, and please excuse me to the gorilla for the insulting comparison.
