Weekend Genius Challenge #8 Winners
by Sandy Wood - November 28, 2007 - 8:27 AM

We tallied the votes (ours and yours) for this past weekend’s Genius Challenge and couldn’t narrow it down to fewer than four. So, we’ve got four winners, and we’ll send each of them a T-shirt!

Here are the four winning entries in a sentence:

The Starbucks lunatics were accosted by a cranky pimp, whose main moneymaker – a punctual hostess – began to lose customers due to her unflattering toenails

And, as we promised, our winners’ phrases are now google-able, thanks to their placement on this blog. Congratulations to our winners; we’ll contact you via email. This Saturday morning, look for another edition of the Weekend Genius Challenge.

  1. Gee, thanks a LOT, Mental Floss! For years we at The Daily Clusterdouche held the top Google Search Ranking for the term “unflattering toenails,” thanks to our Edward R. Murrow Award-Winning* exposé 10 HOT CELEBRITIES WITH EXTRAORDINARILY UNFLATTERING TOENAILS. AND ALSO NOSEHAIR. So whomever submitted that winner of a phrase, we hope your T-shirt is two sizes too small, causing severe breathing restrictions and/or eventual suffocation.

    * Eh. It may have just been a Polk. Any jackass can win one of those.

  2. Thanks! It’s like a birthday present from you guys! (I turned 18 yesterday, woo!)

  3. Awesome! it’s like a birthday present for me too, as i turn 30 on the 9th of December.

  4. Thank you so much! Even if it is two sizes too small (sorry, Elvis) I’ll still wear my logo tee with pride.

  5. Hi, Gary, Mike J. here — as long as you’re sending out tshirts, I’ve got to tell you that mine from last week still hasn’t arrived — I think it was to be an Easter Island in XL. Tx in advance, & I’ll try to do better for next week’s contest. M.
