Jason English

Profile: As a sophomore at Duke, History major Jason English told a career counselor his ideal job would involve writing, looking things up on the internet, and responding to email. She smiled and handed him an LSAT prep book. Ten years later, to everyone's surprise, he's pretty much doing just that. Jason was appointed Managing Editor of mentalfloss.com in August 2007. He had previously been a freelance contributor to mental_floss, was one of the original editors of pop culture blog YesButNoButYes, and was a mediocre copywriter for several New York ad agencies. The first advertising campaign he ever worked on won a Clio Award—the Grammy of advertising. The second was widely criticized for promoting child obesity. The patriarch of a two-TiVo family, Jason resides with his wife, daughter and yellow lab in Wayne, New Jersey.
